Traditional doors complete the classic look, making it a natural centerpiece for a cozy den or cottage. For the best results, burn only dry, well-seasoned firewood; the Cord Wood Best Practices guide in the documents section explains how. Matching accessories such as warming shelves, a cast iron steamer, a trivet and a safety screen are sold separately.

Expect up to 37,000 BTUs of heat, enough for roughly 600 to 1,800 sq. ft. The firebox holds 1.3 cu. ft. of wood, accepts logs up to 14 inches long, and can burn for as long as 8 hours. FlexBurn gives you two ways to burn. Out of the box it runs non-catalytic; add the optional Catalytic Performance Pack and you get up to 15% higher efficiency at low settings with emissions as low as 0.3 g/hr.

Key Features

Majolica Brown Enamel: Deep brown porcelain enamel with a glossy, easy-clean surface

Traditional Doors: Timeless door design in the Vermont Castings style

Top Loading: Add wood from the top while smoke and embers stay inside the stove

Swing-Out Ash Pan: Empty ashes cleanly, even while the stove is hot

Thermostatic Air Control: Automatically adjusts combustion air for longer, more even heat

Cast Iron Griddle Top: Warm a kettle or cook simple meals right on the stove

Reversible Flue Collar: Vent from the top or the rear to suit your room

FlexBurn Ready: Optional Catalytic Performance Pack adds up to 15% low-burn efficiency

What's Included

Vermont Castings Intrepid cast iron wood stove (Majolica Brown)

Traditional cast iron doors

Cast iron griddle top

Swing-out ash pan with handled cover

Reversible flue collar (top or rear vent)

Specifications
<table style="border-collapse: collapse;
