The 32-inch cast iron stove comes with traditional doors and the power to heat a large home. Its furniture-quality finish means the stove looks just as good on a mild autumn evening as it does in the depths of winter. Because it heats by radiation as well as convection, you feel a gentle, even warmth rather than hot and cold spots.

Expect up to 56,000 BTUs and coverage of about 1,300 to 2,800 sq. ft. A roomy 3.2 cu. ft. firebox, 20-inch log length and up to 14-hour burns make it ideal for whole-home heating. Few stoves have a story like the Defiant. Named over 40 years ago to "defy the wintery blast," its original parlor stove is now in the Smithsonian collection. Today it pairs that history with top loading, a swing-out ash pan and a cast iron griddle top.

Key Features

Majolica Brown Enamel: Earthy brown porcelain enamel with a high-gloss finish

Traditional Doors: Timeless doors that show off the fire

Top Loading: Load wood from the top for more capacity and less smoke in the room

Swing-Out Ash Pan: Remove ashes cleanly, even when the stove is hot

Thermostatic Air Control: Keeps heat output even and stretches burn times

Cast Iron Griddle Top: A handy cooking surface for the stovetop chef

Reversible Flue Collar: Top or rear venting for flexible installation

Large Firebox: 3.2 cu. ft. capacity with 20-inch log length

What's Included

Vermont Castings Defiant cast iron wood stove (Majolica Brown)

Traditional cast iron doors

Cast iron griddle top

Swing-out ash pan with handled cover

Reversible flue collar (top or rear vent)

Specifications
<table style="border-collapse: collapse;
