superior-wct6940-black-doors-for-wct6940-gas-fireplace
Superior WCT6940 Black Doors for WCT6940 CAT Wood Burning Fireplace

Description

The Superior WCT6940-DOOR-BLK is listed in the manufacturer's price book as Material #F2857, described there as "WCT6940 Black Doors", and is grouped under the Doors section of the catalog alongside the other parts sold for this line of fireplaces. A glass or mesh door across the front of a wood-burning firebox controls how much combustion air reaches the fire, and is a genuine safety and efficiency feature rather than just a decorative front panel - closing the doors on a dying fire slows the burn and keeps embers and sparks contained. Superior offers its doors in bi-fold glass, twin-pane glass with a mesh screen, and louvered styles, each suited to a slightly different way of running the fireplace, from fully open screened viewing through to a sealed glass front for maximum efficiency.

At $1,604, the WCT6940-DOOR-BLK is priced as a standalone factory part, separate from any fireplace it is ordered with, and it is listed as fitting WCT6940 Gas Fireplace. A door kit installs into the factory frame surrounding the firebox opening, using the mounting hardware supplied with the kit, and typically requires no modification to the fireplace itself beyond removing whatever standard screen or trim was originally fitted. Glass doors should always be operated and cleaned according to the appliance manual - a cold glass panel can crack if a fire is built up too quickly against it, in the same way any tempered glass fireplace door can. Because door assemblies vary by both firebox width and by whether the fireplace is a radiant or louvered model, always confirm the exact model number before ordering rather than matching on width alone.

What's Included

One Superior WCT6940-DOOR-BLK - WCT6940 Black Doors

Material #F2857, supplied in the manufacturer's packaging

Key Features

Genuine Superior factory door/screen

Field-installed

Specification

Model #

WCT6940-DOOR-BLK

Material #

F2857

Description

WCT6940 Black Doors

Product Type

Fireplace Door

Price Book Section

Doors

Brand

Superior
