Millivolt models are remote ready. Variable Remote models include a Pro-Flame remote control. Electronic models include a variable remote control. 24" sets are designed for large 36" fireboxes. 30" sets are designed for larger 42" fireplaces. 36" sets are designed for a 48" and larger firebox. The Superior Mega-Flame is described in the manufacturer's own price book as "MNF24 VF Ember Bed Burner, Variable, with Remote", listed under the Gas Log Burner category of the Superior lineup, and covers Model Numbers MNF24INV / MNF24IPV. A gas log burner is the working half of a vented or vent-free log set - it is the component that actually connects to the gas supply and produces the flame, sold separately from the decorative log casting that sits over it so the same burner can be paired with more than one log style.

This model burns Natural Gas or Propane, and is built to ANSI Z21.11.2. A log burner installs into an existing masonry fireplace or an approved vented firebox, connected to the gas supply by a qualified installer, with the matching log casting placed over it according to the layout shown in the manual. Because burner and log set are sold as separate line items specifically so either can be replaced independently, confirm the burner size against the log set it will be paired with before ordering, since the two are matched by length. Electronic and variable models include a remote control as standard, while millivolt models are operated by a manual valve at the appliance itself - worth factoring in when deciding which ignition tier best suits how the fireplace will actually be used.

What's Included

Superior MNF24INV - MNF24 VF Ember Bed Burner, Variable, with Remote

Superior MNF24IPV - MNF24 VF Ember Bed Burner, Variable, with Remote

Key Features

Heater-rated appliance

Available in Natural Gas and Propane

Specification

Model Series

Mega-Flame

Category

Vent-Free Fireplaces

Style

Log Sets

Description

MNF24 VF Ember Bed Burner, Variable, with Remote

Fuel Type

Natural Gas or Propane

Agency Listing

Built to ANSI Z21.11.2

Model Numbers

MNF24INV · MNF24IPV

Material Numbers

F2089 · F2092

https://usfireplaceshop.com/products/superior-mega-flame-built-in-gas-log-burner-with-mnf24-vent-free-ember-bed-variable-and-remote
