It features a ceramic fiber log set and includes black interior panels. New Full Front Facades are required and take the place of needing both a facade and a surround. Full front facades are equipped with a standard barrier that meets 2015 requirements. Wireless wall switch and remote are optional. The Superior DRI2027 is described in the manufacturer's own price book as "27" Med DV Gas Insert, Elec", listed under the Gas Insert category of the Superior lineup, and covers Model Number DRI2027TEN. A gas insert is designed to slide into an existing masonry fireplace opening, converting a site-built wood-burning fireplace into a sealed, direct-vent gas appliance without demolishing the surrounding masonry - the existing firebox becomes the housing for the new sealed unit.

This model burns Natural Gas at Natural Gas: 25000 BTU/hr, and is built to ANSI Z21.88 and CSA 2.33 standard.. Installing an insert requires running a direct-vent liner up through the existing chimney flue, sized and installed according to the manual for the specific insert model, along with a surround panel that finishes the gap between the insert and the original masonry opening. Because the insert has to fit within the existing fireplace opening, the exact opening dimensions should be measured and checked against the insert's specified sizing before ordering. Optional facades and surround panels finish the transition between the new insert and the existing masonry, letting the conversion read as a deliberate, finished update rather than an obvious retrofit.

What's Included

Superior DRI2027TEN - 27" Med DV Gas Insert, Elec

Key Features

27 Inch heater-rated appliance

Available in Natural Gas

Natural Gas: 25000 BTU/hr

Specification

Model Series

DRI2027

Category

Gas Inserts

Style

Direct-Vent Traditional

Description

27" Med DV Gas Insert, Elec

Fuel Type

Natural Gas

Input Rating

Natural Gas: 25000 BTU/hr

Agency Listing

Built to ANSI Z21.88 and CSA 2.33 standard.

Model Numbers

DRI2027TEN

Material Numbers

F3407

https://usfireplaceshop.com/products/superior-dri2027-27-built-in-natural-gas-direct-vent-gas-insert-with-medium-and-electronic-ignition
