superior-18-section-hi-temp-double-wall-pipe-snap-lock-for-12-chimney
Superior 18" Section Hi-Temp Double Wall Pipe Snap Lock for 12" Standard Wood Burning Chimney

Description

The Superior 18-12HT is listed in the manufacturer's price book as Material #F0954, described there as "18" Section Hi-Temp Double Wall Pipe Snap Lock", and is grouped under the 12" Hi-Temp Wood-Burning Chimney Lengths and Fittings (12 3/8" Inner Diam. - 15" Outer Diam) section of the catalog alongside the other parts sold for this line of fireplaces. A wood-burning fireplace or stove relies on a factory-built chimney system rather than a traditional masonry flue, and that system is built up from individual straight lengths, elbows, firestops and termination caps, each sized to the specific diameter of chimney being installed. Superior's chimney systems are offered in several diameters and in both standard and hi-temp rated versions, the latter intended for installations that see sustained higher flue temperatures; the two are not interchangeable, so matching diameter and temperature rating matters as much as matching the appliance itself.

The 18-12HT is priced as a standalone factory part, separate from any fireplace it is ordered with, and it is listed as fitting 12" Chimney. Every section of a factory-built chimney run has to come from the same system family and diameter as the appliance it serves - lengths, elbows and firestops from a different chimney line are not rated for use together even if they appear to fit. Firestop spacers are required at every point the chimney passes through a combustible ceiling or wall cavity, maintaining the air gap around the pipe that keeps the surrounding framing at a safe temperature during normal, sustained operation. Because a chimney run is assembled from multiple individual parts, it is worth planning the full run - length, offsets, firestops and termination - before ordering, so the complete system arrives as one matched set rather than in mismatched stages.

What's Included

One Superior 18-12HT - 18" Section Hi-Temp Double Wall Pipe Snap Lock

Material #F0954, supplied in the manufacturer's packaging

Key Features

Genuine Superior chimney component

Sized to the chimney diameter it belongs to

Specification

Model #

18-12HT

Material #

F0954

Description

18" Section Hi-Temp Double Wall Pipe Snap Lock

Product Type

Wood-Burning Chimney Component

Price Book Section

12" Hi-Temp Wood-Burning Chimney Lengths and Fittings (12 3/8" Inner Diam. - 15" Outer Diam)

Brand

Superior

https://usfireplaceshop.com/products/superior-18-section-hi-temp-double-wall-pipe-snap-lock-for-12-chimney
